Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using Rentdigi you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

Rentdigi is an online marketplace that helps renters discover homes and helps landlords and property managers advertise rentals across Canada and the United States. We provide the platform, search tools, and verification features that connect the two sides.

Rentdigi is not a landlord, property manager, real-estate broker, or agent, and is not a party to any lease, rental application, payment, or other agreement between renters and landlords. Any rental arrangement is solely between the renter and the landlord. We do not own, manage, inspect, or control the homes listed on the Service.

• Keep your login credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the community.

If you post a listing, you represent and agree that:

• You own the property or are authorized to advertise and rent it.
• Your listing is accurate, lawful, and not misleading — including price, availability, photos, and terms.
• You will comply with all applicable housing, landlord-tenant, advertising, and fair-housing laws.
• You will not discriminate against any renter on the basis of any characteristic protected by law.
• Listing on Rentdigi is free; we will tell you clearly before you ever incur a charge for any optional paid feature.

You grant Rentdigi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and promote your listing content on and through the Service. You remain responsible for your content.

You agree not to:

• Post false, fraudulent, duplicate, expired, or unlawful listings or information.
• Harass, defraud, or harm other users, or solicit payments or personal information off-platform to circumvent our protections.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security.
• Infringe anyone’s intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
• Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal or prohibited by these Terms.

We work hard to verify listings and accounts and to flag suspicious activity, but verification is not a guarantee. Rentdigi does not warrant the identity, conduct, eligibility, or suitability of any renter or landlord, or the condition, legality, or availability of any home. You are responsible for your own due diligence — including viewing a property, reviewing documents, and confirming terms — before entering any agreement or sending any money.

Browsing and listing are free. Some optional features may carry a fee, which we will disclose before you purchase. Where payments are processed, they are handled by third-party payment processors subject to their own terms; Rentdigi does not store full payment-card details. Never send deposits or rent through untraceable, off-platform methods.

Some features (such as natural-language search and pricing signals) use automated and AI systems. These are convenience tools and may be incomplete or inaccurate; they are not legal, financial, or professional advice. Always verify important details independently.

The Service, including its design, software, text, and branding, is owned by Rentdigi or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted.

Rentdigi supports equal housing opportunity. Listings and conduct that discriminate on the basis of any characteristic protected by applicable Canadian or U.S. law are prohibited and may be removed.

The Service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any listing or information is accurate, current, or available.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rentdigi and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or rental opportunity, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any dealing between renters and landlords. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid to Rentdigi in the twelve months before the claim or CAD $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rentdigi and its affiliates from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or our community. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Where you use the Service from the United States, local mandatory consumer-protection laws may also apply. The parties will attempt to resolve disputes informally first; unresolved disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
