Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Rentdigi (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites, applications, and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — name, email, phone, role (renter or landlord), and password (stored only as a secure hash).
  • Listing information — addresses, photos, pricing, availability, and descriptions that landlords choose to publish.
  • Inquiries and messages — the content of contact forms, applications, and communications you send through the Service.
  • Usage and device data — pages viewed, searches, approximate location, IP address, browser, and device type, collected automatically.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used.
  • Payment information — handled by third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.

2. How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service — including search, listings, verification, and support.
  • Connect renters and landlords and facilitate inquiries.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and policy violations.
  • Communicate with you about your account, listings, and (where you opt in) market updates.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service:

  • With other users — for example, sharing your inquiry with the landlord of a listing you contact.
  • With service providers — hosting, analytics, email, and payment processors that work on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Rentdigi and others.
  • In a business transfer — if Rentdigi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service, and analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

6. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. These include rights under Canada’s PIPEDA, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable laws. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email below; we will respond as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. International data transfers

Rentdigi operates across Canada and the United States, and our service providers may process data in either country. Where information is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

10. Third-party links and services

The Service may link to or rely on third-party websites and services (for example, payment processors or map and data providers). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
